27 weeks

This weekend my mom came to visit me and spoil me and my baby. We went shopping for some maternity jeans because I only had one pair that really fit me. We picked up a couple of shirts and a dress as well. Then we bought a cute crib bedding set from Walmart and some polka dot wall stickers that matched it. We also bought a bunch of cute little baby girl clothes. It was fun to spend some time with my mom and do some shopping, even though my back was killing me at the end of the day :p.

When we got to Walmart I had a sharp pain near my cervix that was pretty intense. It felt like it stiffened up and like there were a million needles poking me. It was terrible, but it went away after a few minutes. My mom said that she thinks it could be a contraction. I'm not completely sure what it was, so I guess I have a good question to ask my doctor at my next visit in March.

I have this little heart rate monitor that my mom bought me after we had our 8 week visit. We didn't realize it at the time, but it only works later on during the pregnancy(near the 3rd trimester). There was one time a couple of weeks ago that I actually heard my babies heartbeat, but it only lasted about 10 seconds. Today I thought that I'd try it again and much to my surprise I found it right away! It was really strong and she stayed in that position for a long time! Both my husband and my mom got to hear it! It's always fun to share these experiences with other people. It seems like I'm usually alone when that kind of stuff happens.

After shopping my mom had me model my new maternity clothes for her. She wanted to take some pictures of my big belly. It's just crazy how quickly it grows! It has only been a week since I took the last picture and it has grown a lot!

Weird Dreams

So last night I had a series of weird dreams that had to do with taking care of babies. At first I was in the hospital visiting some lady who just had Twins. She let me hold one and he just started bawling so I had to give him right back to her. Then I was at home and I realized that my baby was here and I had to start using all of the baby stuff I have. It was hard because I had to changer her clothes, but I was having a hard time cleaning all of the clothes off of the changing table. It was covered in them! Then I had to find some pajamas for her, which took me a while. After that dream I started dreaming that I went to buy some new pet fish. I started out with 2, but then realized that there was a little tiny baby fish in the aquarium. I was really freaked out because I didn't want it to get eaten or squished by the other 2 fish so I was trying to keep it safe. Then all of a sudden I had a lot of different types of fish in my aquarium, each type had a little baby one in there. I was just so worried that they would all get eaten! Then I couldn't find the first baby fish. I woke up after that! I have such weird dreams!

26 weeks

So yesterday I decided to take another picture of my belly and realized that it has grown quite a bit! I wouldn't have even noticed it if it wasn't for the picture!



Well so far this week I haven't had too much going on. I can tell you that my little baby sure likes to get up into my ribs! Tonight I have gotten a couple of hard kicks. I will sure take a little pain over no kicks at all. Well this is a pretty boring post, but I thought I'd just put my belly picture on here!

25 week dr. visit.

I had a my Dr. appointment today and everything is still very good. He said that my belly is growing just like it is supposed to. That means my little baby isn't growing too quickly! This makes me happy because Steven's family has big 9 lb babies and I really don't want mine to come out that big! That would be so painful! Her heart rate was 142 bpm which is perfect! I'm so glad everything is going so well!

I finally quit working as a waitress! Yesterday was my last day and boy am I glad. My back, legs and feet hurt so bad after working there and I'm not even into my third trimester yet! My Dr. said that the third trimester is pretty hard on your body so I'm thinking that quitting right now was a great idea!

Other than all of that everything is great! I've been pretty tired because of my schedule, but still doing very well. I guess that is all I have for this post.

week 25!!

I know I am terrible at updating my blog! I've been busy though! Well tomorrow I will be 25 weeks pregnant! I can't believe how quickly this past 4 weeks has gone. I feel like I just had my Dr. appointment yesterday! I have my next one on Wednesday. I don't think that they are going to do much this time. I think I will listen to her heartbeat and ask questions.

I am really enjoying pregnancy right now! I started feeling little movements at about 19 weeks, and now they are much stronger. It's fun feeling her do acrobats in my belly. I'm really starting to show now too! I'm one of those strange people who wanted to start showing early on, so this is really a big deal for me! I'm excited to wear my huge maternity clothes!

I am starting to get a cold again :( It feels just like my last cold. My nose is really stuffed up. Hopefully it won't last too long. I hate long almost sleepless nights! Especially when I'm not feeling well and need the extra rest.

We are having a girl!!

On Tuesday this week we had our dr. appointment and had the big ultrasound done! Most of the pictures the tech took just looked like a blob to me, but it was neat to see my baby in there moving around. She was really making it hard for the ultrasound tech to get good pictures, but that is okay with me. We got one picture of her cute little alien face and were unable to get a profile picture. We also got one of her little feet and her fist. I don't think she wanted us bugging her like that ;) Steve doesn't want me to put the picture that shows she is a girl on here so I better not do that. Everything looked just right in the ultrasound, and I found out that all of my blood tests were great as well. The nurse that talked to me said that I am Acing my pregnancy! :)
