33 Weeks pregnant

What a week it has been! On Saturday I had my first baby shower in Twin Falls. It was a lot of fun. We had good company and got a lot of good stuff. This little girl is already so spoiled! I'm really glad that we don't have to worry about her going without some of the things she needs. We could have her now and would have everything we need plus some extra fun stuff. I have another baby shower in Meridian in a couple of weeks. I'm not sure where I am going to put more baby stuff, but I'm excited for it.
I had a doctors appointment yesterday and everything is still looking great. He said that in a few weeks if I go into labor, he wont try to stop it. It's crazy that we are almost done with this pregnancy. I remember that in the beginning I didn't think I was going to make it to my 8 week appointment. Now I only have 6 weeks and 4 days left!

I guess I will write down a few symptoms I've been having. Of course I've had heartburn. It doesn't bother me too much. I still eat the foods that cause it anyway. I have been having the round ligament pain. It's not too bad, but at night time when I'm sleeping and want to turn it is miserable! It hurts to turn, then when I get up in the morning it takes me a couple of minutes to start walking because it hurts. My bladder is also achy. I guess that is because my uterus and baby put a lot of pressure on it. This morning I noticed something new that I didn't realize could happen at this time. Hopefully this isn't too much information, but my body is ready to start feeding our baby. It freaked me out when I noticed it! I guess that is a part of having a baby though. Other than all of that I guess I've just been tired and anxious. I can't wait until Ellie is born. It's funny because I have her with me all of the time, but I just want to see her. It just seems different. Well that is all for now.

4D ultrasound pics/ Week 32!

My mom was so kind and paid for me to get some 4D ultrasound pics done. The first appointment was at 29 weeks, but little Ellie wasn't really cooperating so the lady had me reschedule the appointment. It was rescheduled for last week, but she had something come up and so I had to wait until today. Waiting so long was pretty rough since I have been so excited, but it was worth the wait! We went in this morning and it was great! She is pretty much the cutest baby ever! I love her little button nose and chubby cheeks!

She loves having her arms up by her face :)
Well we only have 8 weeks left until her due date approaches! I am so excited and hoping it goes by quickly. I can't wait to see her and hold her. Although the pregnancy symptoms are worth it, I won't really mind getting past all of them. It is pretty hard to move these day's and my back really hurts most of the time. I feel bored when I get home and want to do something, but my body is just so worn out after work and all I can really manage to do is sit around. When I do go out, it's only fun for a little while :S Oh well though. It will be great in a few weeks! Last night I forgot to take my wedding ring off and it wasn't going to come off this morning. I am a wimp, so I had to have Steven pull it off for me. It was quite painful! I guess I'll just have to wait until the swelling in my fingers goes down before I where my wedding ring again :( Other than all of that, everything is great!

Only 10 weeks left!!

My belly shot at 30 weeks

On Saturday I hit my 30 week mark! It's so exciting that the due date is coming up so soon! I'm really happy. I have a feeling that I will be even happier when my pregnancy is almost over. I have had heartburn almost everyday for the last few weeks. I think that every type of food is causing it. It's not too bad yet, but it is progressively getting worse. I've also been feeling a little nauseous again. Hopefully that will just go away! I am keeping my fingers crossed anyway. I do love being pregnant though. It's so fun feeling little Ellie moving around all of the time. I enjoy sitting back on my recliner and watching my belly bounce all over the place because of her.

Steven is also getting quite excited! My mom had bought Ellie a couple of teddy bears and my grandma made us a bunch of blankets. This is what I found in the crib last night:

He learned how to swaddle a baby with the teddy bears and he put a diaper on the white one. I think it is so funny.

A couple of months back I was really excited because I had found a stroller/car seat combo at a resale store for a great price. At that time I didn't think about looking the car seat up to see if it had been recalled. We were just excited to buy it. The next morning on the news they were talking about the items that you should never buy used. Then they said that you should always look the item up on the recall list before purchasing the item. I decided to look up this new car seat and of course, it was on the recall list. It is pretty old too. The defect could be fixed by calling the company and getting a new part for it, but it was ruined for me. After seeing that I just new that it would be best to buy a new car seat. We finally went and bought one today. The price was higher, but now I feel a lot better about using it for our little girl. It is really cute too.

week 29

I only have about 11 weeks to go! I'm so excited and I really hope it goes by quickly! I had a Dr. appointment today. I was very nervous about it because I had to do the one hour glucose test. I had previously heard that the drink was really bad. I also knew that I would be getting my blood drawn, which isn't fun for me. I think that I have already expanded on that in one of my past posts! Well it turns out that the drink isn't that bad at all. It was just really sweet. The phlebotomist was able to draw blood with no problem too! It was great. Getting blood drawn doesn't hurt when it goes strait into the vein! I loved the fact that she didn't have to dig around in my arm and then poke me again!

The last couple of weeks I have had this sharp stabbing pain near my cervix. There were two instances where the pain lasted for quite a while. I talked to some people about it to see if it was normal and none of those people had experienced it. One girl insisted that I needed to call my doctor to see what was going on. On that day the pain had lasted for about an hour so we thought that it would be best to call. I was at work when this was going on, so when the nurse called me back she heard talking and laughing in the background. She assumed that I was having fun and told me since I was at work everything was obviously okay. She told me to try a liquid form of tums. I still don't know where to find something like that, and I don't see how that could have anything to do with this particular pain. Then she said that I could also try a support belt for my belly, which made a little more sense. I knew that wasn't the cause though. It was just different. I brought the issue up with my doctor and finally got a good answer! It turns out that everything is okay, but it is nice to know what is really going on. My baby is putting pressure on my bladder when this is going on. My doctor said that I did the right thing for calling. He said that he would rather have a patient come in 20 times and have nothing wrong than not coming in at all and actually having a serious problem. I just wanted to know that everything was okay!

I am now at the point of my pregnancy where I have to go to the doctor every 2 weeks. I can't believe that it's almost over. I'm so excited to see and hold my little baby in my arms! I'm sure being a mom will be very tiring (that's all anyone talks about anyway), but I just know that I'm going to love it!
